OUR CODE OF CONDUCT
Walking Football was created as a response to the needs of older individuals who wanted to stay active, play Football, and socialise without the physicality of traditional Football.
It is aimed to address issues like social isolation and promote physical and mental well-being.
Our Code of Conduct has been designed with this in mind.
OUR CODE OF CONDUCT
"Walking Football should be played in the spirit of sportsmanship with good humour and respect for all fellow players, officials and spectators.
Our aim is to foster friendship and enjoyment for men and women of all ages and skill levels.
We will adopt this Code of Conduct for all Casual, Social and Competitive matches in which we play”
When you apply to become a member of Central Coast Walking Football (CCWF, Our, We), you will be required to declare that you understand and agree to abide by Our Code of Conduct (Code), at all times, while playing or attending a game of Walking Football, whether it is a Casual, Social or Competitive Match at a regular session, Tournament or Gala Day, or any other activity associated with CCWF including any electronic content you create or upload onto any electronic website, social media or other site we use or direct you to, and any electronic communication channels.
Your declaration will be that you will:
Place the well-being, safety and enjoyment of each player above everything, including winning.
Adhere to the rules of play and always respect and abide by the match officials’ decisions. NEVER argue back.
Promote fair and equitable play and encourage players of different skill levels and abilities.
Never engage in, or retaliate to, or accept offensive, insulting or abusive language. This includes verbal threats, swearing, or behaviour including gas-lighting or continual questioning of match officials or other players.
Never engage in, or accept, bullying, intimidation or harassment including physical violence, spitting or any inappropriate or discriminatory behaviour
Speak to Match Officials, my Team-mates, the Opposition, Spectators and my Coach/Manager with respect at all times.
Remember we all make mistakes.
Win or lose with dignity.
Thank the Match Officials and the opposing Team at the end of every Match
Be an Ambassador for CCWF, Central Coast Mariners, our Sponsors and for Walking Football in general, by displaying, maintaining and promoting the highest standards of behaviour.
